Thursday, May 21, 2009 - The Twins are Twice the Fun!

Celebrate all those born in the merry month of May when art.les.nyc studios presents GEMINI FEST 2009, on Friday, May 29 at 8 p.m., in the fabulous outdoor lounge at 202 Rivington Street (between Ridge and Pitt Streets).

After opening our 2009 program with Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death, we're swinging into the season with a spring evening under the stars. Join us in knocking back flagons of our premium Grog-n-Scrod sangria at the world famous Tiki Bar - and its brand-new twin, Tiki Bar II. Gemini Fest 2009 will showcase “Tales of the Grog-n-Scrod”, a new installation by founding artist Aaron Thompson, with a storyline by resident writer Mark Lepage. In addition, those who missed our current exhibiton "Shambahala", featuring the works of Elura Emerald, Col from Robots Will Kill, Badsyne, Jasper James and Wombat will have an opportunity to check this street art show with spiritual influences.
If the mystical May zeitgeistery doesn't draw you, the music surely will : don't miss our four band line-up, featuring the gorgeous eclecticism of Jigsaw Soul, the filth-wisdom of Jessica Delfino, the Tough-Love New York R'n'R of Actualities, and the smokey sultry sounds of Lillie Haws the Matriarch of the Tiki Bar.
