Hallowseen I 2007

art.les.nyc studios at 202 Rivington celebrates New York’s favorite holiday with a Hallowe’en Spooktacular guaranteed to scare the goatee off every hipster in the hood!

Welcome to HallowSeen – our Saturday night costume bash featuring seven stunning new thematic paintings in keeping with the gory theme, and live performances from very special guest musicians from New York and Los Angeles.

We’ve taken the décor in our one-of-a-kind fully illuminated multi-level outdoor space to evil new depths with a strobe-lit graveyard, the haunted gallery and terrifying sights, sounds and things that go bump in the night.

Prepare yourself with the official unveilings of brilliant new works including a skulltastic mural courtesy of Pond Scum and John Zopp, a transcendent mural by Tony Santana, a new urban vision from official studio painter Aaron Thompson and four other works. Then join the festivities:

9 p.m. – Marcus Hicks performs “Speed Bump,” a psychedelic rock monologue based on the Spells from Bewitched. Featuring spine-tingling snare drum, guitar, triangle, flute.

9:30 p.m. – Danny xxxxxx conjures up “Swamp Witch,” a rough-and-tumble spoken-word blues sure to raise the sorceresses of the wood.

10 p.m – Lower East Side “Tough Love” rock’n’roll band Actualities band strip it down to the bone with an acoustic set.

Then, special guest DJ Pond Scum unleashes all-night Hallowseen Madness with a hellbound mix of punishing classic hard-rock mayhem!
